OK so this was back in my 'movie theater' days... I was 16-17 years old at the time, working at the largest chain of movie theaters in Southern California (that is, if 'largest' means 'only' and 'Southern California' means 'the Antelope Valley'). This particular night, I was working at the concession stand. (KEY: This color = "Me" -- this color = "Customer")
- "Would you like to make that a large for only $1.00 more?"
- "No..." "... actually could you make that two (sodas)? One Dr. Pepper and one... 7-Up."
- "We don't have 7-Up. Is Spri--"
- "Err sorry I meant Sprite. Ha ha ha!"
- **NTC: That is not funny. Not to say that it's rude necessarily, but what part of that was funny?
- "OK that'll be $[However much]..." "... and here are your drinks -- one DP, one Sprite."
- "Cool. And... which one's which?"
The lids are see-through, for crying out loud. Even if you're color blind, here's a general rule-of-thumb: the darker one is not the Sprite.
